Mo. Apple Store Location Scoped

country club

Everyone knows “they” talk a lot, and recently “they” have been saying that the former FAO Schwartz store at 235 47th St. in Country Club Plaza is rumored to be the site of Missouri’s new Apple Store. As you can see from the exciting picture to the right, FAO Schwartz left the placed boarded up when the took off and as of a few days ago there’s been no activity there at all. However, locals are keeping their fingers crossed. A stealth team of ninjas are expected to bust into the joint and report back with more revealing details and photos shortly.

The Plaza is zealously protective of its image. The storefronts are always boarded up when vacated or under renovation, rather neatly. They also always get the name of the new place in big adjesive letters. So, if its blank for too long, then that's where the Apple store goes, I say. Lookin up a few blocks, the newest stores look like new stores in any hi-falutin' area; lots of glass, multi-levels, etc. The FAO store is boring and flat. With the cool apple stores generally around, I hope we get a cool one also.

I'm glad you like the site, I just didn't see any reason for making other readers read through four replies all pointing out the same little mistake after it was corrected. I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

I guess the only point might be to show how zealous your readers are about correcting state abbreviations. Or maybe it would show what anal geeks your readers are. Or maybe it would show your own humility and fallibility and ability to accept constructive criticism and engage in dialogue w/your readers, even on completely unimportant topics. I dunno. Like I said, I'm not trying to be critical; I was just curious. You're doing a great job w/this weblog as far as I'm concerned.

Why do I need comments from four people pointing out a typo after it's been fixed? That's not really contributing to the topic, and once the correction has been made, what's the point in archiving that there used to be a mistake?

Why allow comments if you're only going to delete them even when they're eminently on topic and attempting to help you improve your site? Very curious this is. Does it have something to do with the "Weblogs, Inc." connection? When bloggin goes corporate, is it still blogging? I'm not criticizing, I'm just asking.
