This cracks me up, I'm headed to Iraq in the next few months with the 101'st and I'm taking my i-Pod with me. Funny thing is I'm going to take some pics of myself with pod in one hand and rifle in the other. It's a good satire, the Iraqi insurgency is becoming very technologicaly literate on finding ways to kill our soldiers with IED's and booby traps. The only scary one is of the guy with the RPG.

The posters are plastered on a pharmacy Ad wall, its on the corner of Sunset Blvd and off of Silverlake Blvd ( SL blvd. continues under the Sunset bridge). Brilliant Posters, I saw them yesterday!

I thought the shining becon of democracy we are currently endevoring to install in Iraq includes fredom of speech. If we don't excercise that freedom we will lose it. Being neutral is all very well and good for cattle. But as citizens of a democracy it is our obligation to take an active interest in the world around us. Especially when our elected leaders are compelled to recklessly screw things up around the world. To me the posters are a brilliant succinct comment on callous US consumerism and how our government sold us on an ill-conceived war. It may make you more comfortable to turn a blind eye to world politics but it is anything but mature.

i realize it is a hot spot to get involved in, but what about just keeping your propaganda focused on something less heated? people get so easily offended. do we need to keep urging them on? people have jaded motives. to me, i would view an act of not getting involved in pro/anti-war protests/advertisements as a more mature thing to do, and respect the company/people all the more for it. promoting this contains no real benefits for society. it's rather degrading. if you went on vacation, and met some people of the same religion, got on smashingly, but then your country started warring with that country, would you go to war? is there a chance that you might kill someone you could have been great friends with? someone of the same religion that you once spent the night with on vacation? why, even though there could be some conflicting views, would you go promote violence? being anti-terrorism is what people mean to be. surely the whole country isn't bad. the holocaust dealt with unjust persecution because of beliefs. what's different about persecuting people from a particular country? i think people need to be a little more understanding, less judgemental, and not get involved in something that is such a sensitive topic.
