I’m extremely excited to be coming on board as one of the co-conspirators here at The Unofficial Apple Weblog! I was
raised in the Windows world, but was thankfully rescued from the Dark Side and have not looked back since. There are
those who would claim that the mac is just a
machine, but I beg to differ; my Titanium laptop is my faithful companion and let no one put us asunder!
The Macintosh computer, imbued with Apple’s philosophy of
non-conformity, is IMHO one of the most exciting
memes of the past quarter-century.
This is a device that lives to flex itself into your style of working, rather than forcibly bend you to its own will
(anthropomorphism aside :)). Make no mistake - this is a radical concept in a control-oriented world.
I look forward to bringing you Mac news, Mac love, and Mac philosophy here on TUAW! Stay tuned! Oh - and you can tell
your Wintel cohorts there are at least a few thousand reasons to reconsider
Macs!

Just wanted to give an observation about apple and the look that is seeming becoming far too americanna! When is Apple going to really take a stand and start becoming a bit more intelligent on their web page!! It looks as smart as hotmail with all of their trash stories and McDonalds approach to the world??
There is not one place for environmental anything!!! Where can I find a solar pannel for my MAC??!!!
Many people on the streets of Japan and Germany have them right out in front of the whole world to see, yet I can not find one anywhere!!
And what up with all of the SUV crap on the site?? Not one pure Electric vehicle anywhere!! No electric bikes, scooters, motorcycles,....nothing? What world do you think we mac users want to live in??
Hey check out cool stuff they have in the EU and put that on your site!! RAISE THE BAR FOLKS come on!! Please!

Hell I could get yall started on some pretty cool, high end, & great products, stories, and culture that would serve you very well, and look better than anyone in the US.......or I will give you my mac back

Hi solarwarior - you raise some good points here. Watch Monday's posts for some coverage of solar products for the Mac! Very cool stuff - I would appreciate any of the links you have, as well. Leave it to the EU to develop sustainable computing devices - as you say, Americans seem far more eager to waste than to conserve.
