Sometimes Newer is better than new
Stalwarts in the Macintosh community, Other World Computing (OWC) and
NewerTech started shipping their new
high-capacity replacement batteries today for the 15-inch Powerbook G4
(Aluminum) under the NuPower label. Priced at $129, these batteries boast up to 6% more capacity than the
priginal Apple battery.
I personally replaced my 1st generation 5GB iPod battery with an
OWC/NewerTech replacement a few months ago and I continue to get
20+ hours per charge out of it. Simply amazing. I have no doubt their Powerbook batteries are just as impressive.
