I answered the actual question. The other respondents needed a bit of discipline.

Because it's one of the most readable fonts on a 1-bit display. The iPod mini's font is called "Espy Sans" and was used in the Newton MessagePad and Apple's eWorld online service. The iPod photo uses "Myriad." This magazine's trivia question, however, is asking about the iPod's logo - which is actually Apple's new branding typeface (as of 2002 or so.) It's Myriad Pro Semibold: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_typography#Apple_Myriad While it may not be best to hire Vo243 for anything requiring thorough reading comprehension, it's also best not to hire JoeClark for anything requiring good bedside manner.
