Apple Canada confirms first Retail store to be in Toronto

AppleInsider reported on Friday that ”Apple Canada is announcing today that an Apple Branded Retail Store location will be opening in Toronto, mid year 2005.” The exact location has not been cofirmed. Apple plans additional retail locations in and around Ontario.

Although Apple has roughly half of Canada’s education market, Apple’s retail presence other than mail-order and electronics superstores, has remained sparse - a fact that Apple Canada has been criticized for in the past.

There is a vibrant and growing Apple market in Canada. An Apple Retail expansion there is surely welcome.
