PhonePod?
File this in the rumour bin: according to “a source,” Motorola and Apple may be collaborating on a combination iPod/phone device:
I just received word from a source/friend, that is very close to Motorola, that Apple just inked a deal with Motorola to jointly produce a motoPod. The assumption is that this will be a telephone base iPod using Motorola’s technology, however, I have no information to confirm that. My friend is fully aware of my obsession with Apple products and that is why he shared this information with me. I am wondering if this speaks to the recent discussions regarding Apple’s large purchase of flash chips for use in an upcoming iPod.
Sounds dubious, and my first hunch is that Apple is not about to jump into the mobile phone business. What do you think - fact or fabrication? Who would this device be marketed to, other than mobile DJs who want to call in their sets?

Can anyone tell me where to find the information for contacting Apple about partnership activities? Thanks.

Finally, failsafe integration with iSync (something I still can't do right with my Sprint Sanyo even via 3rd party software), space for a few songs to take on a workout (I take my phone on a jog just in case anything happens), and, of course, it works with iTunes. The Samsung mp3 phone of four years ago was too early.

He mentioned something about incorporating iPod tech into Motorola phones. I think this was the keynote speech that he first showed some of the features that will be incorporated into Tiger (ie video conferencing with 3 people in iChat).

It's not a question of if but when something like this will come out. Sheeeeet can you imagine an iPod from which you can buy tunes on the go and be billed on your phone bill? Not too much of a leap from buying wallpapers and ring tones is it?
