podapic puts You into an iPod Ad

podapic

Who amongst us has never said, ‘I sure wish I could turn this ordinary picture of me whaling on my guitar into one of those cool iPod shadow people pcitures’?  I, for one, have never said that but that doesn’t make podapic’s service any less cool.

$3.99 allows you to get the iPod treatment for one photo, and you get to pick which color you would like (they are currently offering green, blue, orange, pink, and purple). If you want one picture in all five colors, or five pictures in one hue each, that will run you $6.99.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • You can only pay via Paypal (but Paypal does accept major credit cards)
  • The pictures you want to submit have to be either a JPG or GIF
  • The turn around time is 3 business days

Still not convinced? Check out the PodaPic of the week for a glimpse of what their handiwork looks like.

If you already had one made, or get one made, post a link to your podapic in the comments.

Podapic sucks even worse now!! They doubled their prices!! $8 - wow, brilliant move Podapic. By reducing the potential savings of using Podapic, you make it a no brainer for people to go to the original in the space and still the best, ipodmyphoto.com www.ipodmyphoto.com/compare.adp

So you're saying that the trick to Podapic is not for them to do your photo right the first time, but to be so completely displeased with their first attempt that you complain enough for them to do it again? That doesn't sound like a great business model to me, but I will complain to them about my image thanks!! "Podapic-- give them a couple tries to get it right"

you must have gotten one in their early days. We had done the first week the site was up and we asked them if they could re-do it. They did and the second one was great--it didn't look like stethescope anymore any they had earbuds there instead of just white wires going into our daughter's ears. You should email they and ask for a re-do, they've been easy to work with and will probably do it.

PODAPIC Sucks -- I'll post a picture they did for me -- its was like 2 black blobs and a stethoscope around their necks. Service should be called "DOC a pic" they'll add a thick white stethoscope to any picture. Podapic sucks!

Actually, it's worth it to me to have it done--$3.99 is nothing compared to the $20 that the other site charges--the quality is every bit as good, and the turn around time is faster. Check out their examples at http://www.podapic.com/gallery.html.
