Mac Taps

Ok, so the transition to Intel might be a little rough, but I think this might fall into the 'over reaction' category:

Check out the movie, and see if you agree with me. People, it isn't all that bad!

Short Term = :o( Long Term = :o) Basically I agree with Jobs, and must say that this is going to be a great move for apple and their users. Just you wait. . . Apple will rule the world (then someone else will have to come and recreate Apples rendition of 1984). Here we go, this here is gonna be "the wildest ride in the wilderness," (and what a wild ride it will be). I so can't wait. Go Apple and congrats to Intel; you both are gonna make a hella lot of dough. And I repeat: Short Term = :o( Long Term = :o) Tschߠaus San Diego

As the person who posted that let me just say it was meant as a joke. I found that video a long time ago and there was never a reason to use it. I just thought it was funny.

A long time ago, before there was an apple II. My Father who worked for a chip company, which is now a cellphone company, met his Steveness. At the time his Steveness was looking for a chip for the apple II.(He wore Jeans back then too.) He went to Texas Instruments as well, to find a chip for his apple II. At the time he decided not to go with my fathers company, and my father did not mention who Steve chose. Eventually the company that my father worked with was chosen by apple and his Steveness. So the moral of the story is that His Steveness is always looking for the best chip for his product.

So Apple can reuse the "hell froze over" graphics on their Web site. I don't think there was any "right" decision in this case, but two things stand out in all of this: 1) the G5 isn't good for portables and 2) Apple was having trouble getting processors. The switch to Intel has many benefits. I'm willing to gamble on the engineers at Apple.

ehehe I guess the worst thing is that I'm such an Apple-snob, and I won't be no more since yesterday... check out the front page of my blog today http://www.helo.it/killsapo/ (the slogan states: "Rest in peace, macintosh snob") ciao!

C'mon people! Who cares what processor is inside? As long as they get the performance right and don't mess up the beauty that is the Mac OS, who cares? Rosetta will allow old PPC apps to run on the Intel Macs - better than Classic allows OS 9 apps to run on OS X. I am a loyal Mac user since 1990 - I have used every OS since 6.04, I have owned a Mac Plus, Duo 210, a Motorola Starmax, a G3 (beige) tower, a dual 1.25 MDD, several iBooks, a Titanium Powerbook, an Aluminum Powerbook; I use a Mac mini, G5 tower and XServes at work and support nearly every Mac produced in the past six years. Moving to a processor with better development support, that isn't being developed at the whim of a company that doesn't care about it, is a good thing. Get over it.
