Yesterday,
C.K. asked asked about which podcasts you listen to. A number of you listed the Battlestar Galactica podcast as a favorite. It offers a commentary on the show that, when listened to while watching Battlestar on TV, creates an experience similar to a DVD commentary track. Last week,
I suggested that more shows should produce commentary podcasts, and
Wired Magazine recently explored the idea as well. Today our question to you is this: What TV shows would you like to offer a commentary podcast and why? Here's my list:
- Arrested Development. I think it's such a witty and intelligent show, I imagine that hearing from the writers and producers would be a lot of fun.
- No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. If you haven't seen this show, he travels the world and eats all sorts of interesting foods. The crew and host have got to have some interesting stories that didn't make it to the air.
- The Amazing Race. The only reality show I can tolerate would be that much more fun if we had commentary from the contestants, behind-the-scenes goodies and information on the "location of the week."
So there's my list. What's yours?

I only ask for one:
The Daily Show
If they don't do, I'm sure some intrepid soul will automate capturing it with their TV card and ripping the audio track for me.
Of course, then the TV execs will come along and demand that I pay some sort of silly fee for the DRMed version of it.

The OC
Simpsons
Family Guy
Lost
American Idol
Actually all shows should. They need to keep the viewers up to date when they miss a show.

Funny you should bring this up. Last year, the Survivor folks podcast (as an experiment) the final words of the person kicked off the island (short and extended versions) as well as an hour long interview with that person from the following day. It was generally fun and catty -- good background to what we were seeing.

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis. SciFi friday covers three shows, not just Battlestar Galactica... and I for one like Stargate much better. Other than that, I don't watch too much TV.

TDS by far, although it should be edited down so the visual puns can be eliminated so we don't have just silence.

To tell you the truth, before some TV shows hop on the Podwagon it might be nice to have the best radio shows available. If I could have one thing it would be podcast-available NPR flagship news shows like "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition." Right now it's a smal smattering of local stations' programs that are available.

24. There are definitely some tidbits of info from that show that should be talked about.
Also, I'm not saying that South Park should have a podcast, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone should do one. That would be freakin' hilarious!
