It looks like the Mighty Mouse might be the only wired mouse that Apple will be shipping in the near future. The Drunkenblog has a report from a reader that the Wired Mouse and Keyboard combo and the Mac mini with Wired Mouse and Keyboard have been 'EOL'ed (that's End of Life, meaning they won't be available after the current stock runs out). The Wired Mouse is to be replaced with the wired Mighty Mouse, or at least that's the theory, which makes sense. If I were Apple (and believe me I dream about it every night) I wouldn't want to have to make 3 different kinds of mouse(s). Now, you traditionalist out there that only want a one button mouse need not fear, the Might Mouse is configured, by default, to act like a one button mouse so you can ignore all the other cool features if you must.

The traditional Apple Pro Mouse is EOLed as well. Leaving only the bluetooth mouse and the mighty mouse as Apples offerings. The mighty mouse is bundled with new shipments from Apple from this week on as far as I know.

Where is an Apple branded DVI based 17" LCD monitor to go along with a Mac Mini purchase? Surely it isn't wise to point customers in the direction of cheap Dell LCD monitors to do the job.

I think that you are right. When I was trying to buy my Mini Online from Apple, I selected the wired keyboard and mous combo, but it said "Currently Unavailable" so i went and browsed around their online store and it had disappeared. So I bought a Mighty Mouse instead, its great!!! I thought about this initially after I had made the purchase and had come to the same conclusion, Apple will ship the Mighty Mouse as a regular corded mouse.
