I just tried it out and it works To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

Google seems to have released a Gmail notifier for OS X. I haven't tried it yet, but at least they're not ignoring the Mac COMPLETELY.

Update: I think the error had something to do with Google's entertainment feed. The problem is gone since Google updated the feed, but I'll try to prevent such errors in the future.
