Could this be the iPod video?

Since a movie theater curtain adorns the invitations Apple sent out, one can only dream.

That's already been proven to be a fake on a few sites out there.

People,
Steve said not yet like freakin 10 days ago!!!
Do you think he's *that* big of a liar that less than 2 weeks later they'd let one go??
This ipod video madness NEEDS to slow up a bit. We can't assume EVERYTHING could be an ipod video!
By the way, if you want to see *my* version of a faked ipod video, it's here:

Shameless, I know...

My usual rule:
If it's blurry, it's fake.

I think Apple is teasing us:)

I am thinking it might be a g5 powerbook, or like macdailynews thinks an early intel-based powerbook and power mac. The movie curtains are too big of an announcment to just be a small update, it's gotta be BIG. I just think Apple plan's their releases and they woudln't want to hurt sales of the nano.

I'll go out on a limb with you Jimmie-- it's the Intel Powerbook and/or PowerMac. A simple update to either would be silly "big news".
They won't want to take away from the Nano. Maybe iPod videos will be released right before Christmas?

In all this speculation aournd the "movie curtain invite" I have yet to see anybody mention the possibility that this will be the debut of an iTunes-like store for video/movie content, something that was running the rumor mill not all that long ago. A video/movie store and app (or maybe it just adds functionality to iTunes?) would also support the rumor that a video enabled Airport Express is close to ready too. I'm thinking this is much more likely than a video iPod.
New rumors that the event will release updated Power Macs and PowerBooks just doesn't make sense, those have never warranted special event status in the past... and the movie curtain doesn't tie in either.

The curtains are a visual clue.
Last time they had an announcement, it was the teaser,
1000 songs in your pocket changed everything, here we go again.
Everybody thought it had something to do with the iPod becoming the iPod video, however, it was the mini (1000 songs) becoming the nano.
The movie curtains (Which are our clue) leads me to believe that it is the iPod video, but it is likely not.

I hope it is some sort of media center! I WOULD LOSE MY MIND! My new lcd tv is just waiting for apple to do something for it. I haven't even bought a dvd player yet thinking I would do something myself with a mac mini...

I noticed something strange earlier,
head to http://www.apple.com/movies , you get access denied which seems strange, considering that you usually get 'Page not Found' when there is something incorrect on apple, try http://www.apple.com/videos , you'll get page not found....

Who says that they are "movie curtains?" Maybe they are Theatre curtains. Maybe Steve and Woz are hitting Broadway in their updated Mac-centric version of "The iProducers" Steve has that star quality to him...Now all he needs to do is prove he can sing

Ahem. This is the 'Year of HD.' Movie curtains. Powerbooks need a refresh. Apple has declared its support for BluRay. See where I'm going? I predict new PowerBooks with HD screens, and either an announcement OR (hold on to your seats, folks) actual shipping BluRay drives in PowerBooks. Video professionals are all moving to HD and an HD PowerBook would certainly not be an unwelcome refresh for the PB line.
Ummm, of course this could also be an all-new Apple set top box or home media center. YMMV.

If it's real, why is it so blurry?

Could it be a new cheaper Final Cut suite? That'd go along with the movie theme....and what better to show new cutting-edge video software on than a new Powerbook?
