Autobytel launches iPod Center

autobytel.gifAuto site autobytel.com has launched an iPod Center to bring you the latest news on taking your iPod to the road. iPod Center offers its pick of ten affordable cars with iPod connectivity. Each of the ten models lists for under $25,000 and comes with built-in iPod connectivity or can be fitted out to make it easy to listen to your iPod in your vehicle. There's a useful article describing three methods for "iPodding" your car using a cassette adaptor, FM modulator, or auxiliary inputs and adapters for your receiver. Check out the video showing step-by-step instructions for installing the Neo Ion audio adapter from Neo Car Audio. The site also offers a selection of short CarTV auto reviews as iPod compatible videos.

Just make sure you email them about compatibility before you clap your hands with glee and order Neo's iOn adapter (iWhen iWill iIt iStop?). Though their website listed compatibility with my Saturn, a quick email to their support team confirmed it doesn't work. (Thanks GM for your stupid ELAN network, so no one else can add features you aren't willing to add yourself. Way to keep shooting yourself in the foot.) Triple-check your compatibility before you drop ~$200 on an adapter.
