Widget Watch: Widget Update
Today's widget keeps track of all the widgets you've got installed. Widget Update uses Apple, MacUpdate, Version Tracker and Dashboard Widgets to compare your currently installed widgets with what is available at those sources. The results are then displayed in a very tidy report that allows you to instantly download the most recent version found across the four sources. This widget was compiled as a fat binary, so you Mactel users should be able to play with it, too.

In this day and age you would think that Apple would have included this functionality by default. Firefox has had it for some time. With all the Javascript and DHTML it seems like widgets could have pretty bad security holes that might need to get updated pretty widely.
