Saft updated for Safari 2.0.2

saftThis just in from the "fastest update ever" department. Saft has been updated to version 8.1.7 for compatibility with Safari 2.0.2,  and includes updated French localization and a reworked dependence on WebKit.

For the uninitiated, Saft is a Safari enhancing plug-in that adds all sorts of great functionality, like very effective ad blocking.

We really like Saft around here. Check it out if you haven't done so yet. This is a free upgrade for registered users of the Tiger version, and costs $6US for a single license.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Saft is $6? I can only find it for $12. Am I looking in the wrong place? I'd pay $6, $12 leaves me a bit more hesitant.

My Safari just isn't Safari without Saft. Just one day without it, and I was going crazy because I couldn't reorder Tabs, or Sort Bookmarks, or lots of little small things, that I forget that Safari doesn't do naturally. Thanks Hao Li!!!

It's just me, or now the Ad/Banner Blocker has become that picky to even remove the blue gradient from the RSS feeds page? I had to remove the keyword "banner" from the list to have it back

It's pretty fast and seems to work quite well so far.

These updates come out so fast -- you think all they do is look for where functions they trap have been relocated. Is it not possible to write some dynamic code to plow through webkit and look for this stuff when new versions come out and cache the changes? It might not work 100% of the time but it's better than having to wait for a new release (not that they are delayed in this case) but what about other safari enhancements without such diligent maintainers?

Meh, I've seen faster. PithHelmet has been updated for Safari 2.0.2 as well.
