Silent podcast
Silence is golden, or so the saying goes. If that is true then the Silent podcast is the most valuable podcast out there. What is the Silent podcast? Well, according to their feed, 'in our crazy world we all need some silence... Download collections of digitally clear silence encoded in high quality AAC.'I downloaded one of their podcasts, and their first vodcast, and I must say the silence is stunning.

I was going to perform it at a school concert when I was younger, but it didn't happen. Apparently the best thing about it is the audience reaction. They go through through laughter, confusion, restlessness and even anger apparently.

November 05 2005 at 4:14 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOld hat! John Cage wrote 4'33" in 1952, a silent piece for grand piano lasting, well, 4'33"... Instead of being guided by the music the performer is playing, it lets you create your own internal performance. An interesting review is at http://www.classicalnotes.net/columns/silence.html (I am not associated with it, by the way).
