First iPod-specific torrent tracker
Attention CBS and NBC: This is why you want to offer content on the iTunes Music Store. Podtropolis is the first bit torrent tracker that offers content specifically tailored for the iPod. The site boasts "...loads of high quality content for your iPod including movies,
television programs, music videos and of course music. All video is
encoded in iPod compatible formats (H.264, MP4, M4V) so you do not need
to bother with conversion."While I understand CBS Digital President Larry Kramer's wish to ensure the most "economically fair" deal with Apple, he's certainly got to understand that almost anything is better than consumers getting his network's programming for free. If I'm given the choice between a paid download that I'm certain of vs. searching around through torrent files for a show that might not be what I expect after a couple hours of download time, I'll take the $2 download every time.
Thanks, Andrew!

You realize that you are trying to manipulate these guys by promoting piracy don't you? I am not saying that I don't want CBS and NBC on board, but come on; at the cost of sending people to Piracy sites.

^ Speaking of mixed up brain's, have a look at the site...
Music videos are hardly piracy. As for the tv shows on offer it depends on where you're from. Here (Netherlands) it's perfectly legal for personal use.

I completely agree with josh, this is a pretty dumb move. Finding Nemo and Star Wars Ep 3 are one click away from the home page. Are you trying to bring bad attention to TUAW and bittorrent?

Great. Smaller file sizes for popular TV shows for those of us that dont mind watching a TV shows in a lower res than is generally available normally.
More of these sites are needed to get the networks of their asses and start offering us what we want but in a legal manner.
Josh and Tom, attention drawn to the fact that music could be downloaded illegally is what lead to online music stores isn't it?
