Theives steal $15K worth of iPods in Utah
According to Utah's Daily Herald, 33 iPods - valued around $15,000US - were stolen from Orem, Utah's Mac Something store at approximately 3:00 AM on Wednesday. Surveillance cameras did not get a good look at the thieves, so they're still out in the wild. If you live in the area and see a slew of iPods popping up on swap lists, Ebay, etc., beware.Let's hope that one of these jerks are dumb enough to bring their iPod in for repairs.

Just a quick note, 33 iPods at $400 (the most expensive iPod apple is selling right now) is only $13,200. Not 15k. Just a nit pick.

There isn't $400, just $399. And the total of 33 iPods should be $13,167. :)

Orem is about 40 miles south from where I'm at. I heard this on the news the other night and was thinking about the first dumbass that went to go register one of the iPods (assuming that all of their serial #s have been reported as stolen by the store).
Hopfully, they can get stock replenished in time for holiday buying.

After the first time they were burglarized, you think they would get better security, like pull-down gates over the glass or something.

I used to shop at that Orem Mac Something store until they started doing some shady things and screwing some people out of money... so I'm not too suprised at what happened actually.
