Finally! I guess it took a while to negotiate the spot they wanted. Regardless, it will be good to have them in town. Depending upon how much time I have this weekend, I may stop by to take photos and post them on my blog.

I'm way excited about this opening. Been a long time coming.
Anyone else from Utah that will be planning on going? Would love to meet some other Apple fans and mac heads and iPodders locally. Link to my page to send email.

I plan on being there. How did you find out the exact date. I have been calling Gateway and they didn't know.

I'll be there. I just "switched" in September and I can't wait to check it out.

Actually, it was a construction delay. It was supposed to open last June.

The address you listed is off by approximately 7 blocks. The real address is closer to 10 South Rio Grande (455 West). The "7" may have been a typo?
The Apple logo was lit on Sunday. The store is divided into eight sections along the walls. On the left is Home, Pro, iLife & etc. On the right it is Music, Music (yes that's two music sections), Genius & Software.
The Gateway is a popular outdoor walking mall and the Apple store is located at the central plaza on the west side. The mall is expanding to the north with new construction creating some parking hassles. Come early. Let's party.

I just answered my own question by following the links to Apple's website. I will see you all there.

Thank God, its finally here. Aaron Abbott at the Apple Dept. at inCompUSA and Adell Parker at the UVSC Bookstore have done a great job for Apple, but a whole store. AWSOME.

So did anyone get there before it opened? I went about 2 PM and had to wait in line to get in the store. I was hoping to get one the the free Apple t-shirts, but after I saw the crowd I bet there were 1,000 people through there in the first 10 minutes.
Finally, an Apple Store in Utah!
