Lingon
I have heard your pleas, dear TUAWers, and I present unto you a graphical interface for interacting with launchd in Tiger. If you'll recall launchd is a small process that runs in the background on OS X and watches the system. When certain criteria are met, like a file is modified, it triggers an event (like the running of a script). This can be very useful for a variety of things, but it required launching the Terminal, something not all Mac users are comfortable doing.Enter Lingon, it provides a clean UI for creating config files for launchd and controlling them. If you don't believe me check out Systems Boys' overview on the subject.

i'm not normally one to harp on someone for making mistakes in a blog, but Scott, you mention launchd three times and each time it's typed differently (lauchd, launchd, launcd) ... also, what's wrong with this line? (hint: I noticed 2 errors off the bat) " ... it triggers and event (like the running onf a script) ..."

Darn it! I hate when I make numerous mistakes. :)
I'm fixing them all now, and I'm giving you a star.

Unfortunately Lingon doesn't seem to work if you have FileVault enabled, kicking out "Your home directory is on a volume that does not support privileged helper tools".
