MacMod: SE3000

Here's a guy that took the plastic shell of Mac SE 30 and stuffed a 3.0Ghz PC inside. It's got four USB 2.0 ports, three firewire ports, a serial port, and a parallel port. It can even drive an Apple Cinema Display.

That's a pretty nice gaming machine all inside a tiny little case. I have to say I'm impressed, despite the fact that it's running Windows. There are more pictures at his site, along with some notes on his assembly method.

I think this is pretty cool. The blue LEDs are pretty but a bit clich頡t this point. I've got an old Mac Plus, and it would be really cool to stick a Mac mini inside of it if I could set it up to run out to an external monitor as well as one inside the case.

this is cool but it isn't really a true mod. Put a LCD or other CRT monitor in the case and then you have a mod. using it as a case makes it no different than putting it in a suitcase or whatever. Because he tore up an old mac doesn't make it newsworthy it just makes it sad. -F
