Intel's internal Apple group

appieinteleWeek is reporting that Intel has formed an internal Apple group, and though details are very sparse, it seems that the group is comprised mainly of engineers and sales staff (Intel representative Tom Beerman told eWeek that details on the group are confidential). It's certainly no surprise that Apple would have a small staff at Intel. No, it's actually just another step towards the (hopefully) lower cost Mactels we should begin to see in a couple of months. Keep your fingers crossed.

Not too sure that the price will be that much lower. Perhaps a bit. Again, when getting an Apple you pay the higher price for the design (yes, sorry folks.) the cutting edge technology and the ease of use. The Processor is not that big a chunck of the price. Have you ever seen the price sheet for the Power PC chips? I saw one a while back and the numbers were in the double digits! I am not expecting a lower price, just a great Apple lineup running on an Intel chip. Other than that not much will change! b-
