Opus comic parodies the digital march of Jobs & Co.

Opus Jobs parodyToday's Opus comic strip features a good parody of Steve Jobs & Co. along the lines of that SNL sketch I blogged a while back. Steve bursts in on Opus, who's enjoying a book, and proceeds to get rid of all the analog media and devices in the room. Books, CDs, the TV, the telephone - it's all obsolete. I won't ruin the rest of the comic, so go check it out (Washingtonpost.com link) for a good chuckle.

An iPod with a keyboard? Naw, that sounds too much like a Newton, and we know Steve hated them. It's sad, though, that Apple created the PDA and then gave up the market to Palm.

That device that SJ has in the comic looks pretty cool. An iPod with a little keyboard? If Apple made something like that, with PDA functionality and Documents to Go, it would sell like hot-hot-hotcakes.

All kidding aside, I think what Steve really wants to do is to replace the Tivo and Windows Media Center with the Apple iPVR.
