iSync: There is no step 4

This is all well and good, but reading this post about the 11 steps the author had to take to sync their mobile phone with Outlook, as compared to the 3 steps they had to take on thier Mac, puts things in perspective.

I'm not sure iSync is the best app to demonstrate the Mac's ease-of-use. Check out any OS X board and you'll see countless users struggling to sync their bluetooth phones or Palms.

I bet that guy has never tried to iSync a Palm PDA in OS X, it's not the most straight-forward thing... In fact it takes a lot more than 11 steps. Although once it's working it's just a case of hot-syncing the PDA which only requires 1 step :-)

i think his problem in windows is not windows itself, but its that he's using the sony software, from my experience with a sony minidisc player sony's software is the worst software ever written, i've tried plenty of programs in the 0.1 stage of development and they work better than an fully completed sony program, and as sony updates its programs they get worse and worse to use. any one that's used openmg or sonicstage know what i mean there must be some thrid party software this guy could use to sync his on in windows, but luckily i have a powerbook so i dont have to go through that

I use windows and all I have to do to sync with outlook is switch the bluetooth on my phone on. My PC then recognises it and transfers the relevant information.

Not to mention iSync does not fully support some devices (specifically mine).

With ease you can sync your phone and the iApps but try syncing your phone with Exchange via Entourage.
