Jobs in a suit
I've seen this pic
before, but it's getting the traffic over at Digg,
so I thought it worth pointing to again. Here's the full-size picture of the cover of
the premiere issue of Macworld, featuring Steve Jobs, not in jeans and a turtleneck as a friend to the consumer, but in
a suit, trying to sell the Mac to the world. He also seems to be doing some sort of Jesus's arms in the Last Supper
painting thing with the way he's hovering over those three Macs.

Turtleneck, jeans and sneakers the whole way...

I have a copy of the MacWorld premier issue from 1984, along with the 10 and 20 year MW anniversary issues. Read all of those cover to cover and it's amazing to see how much has changed, and still stayed the same.
One really weird thing, reading the 1984 mag, is the total absence of website and email addresses. It's 800 numbers and street addresses all the way. Life and commerce was slower then (about to explode, really). So was the advertised "Promodem 300/1200 bps modem" and the "Davong Winchester Disk System," topping out at an awesome 32 megabytes.
Change is good.

He totally looks pimp in a suit... whattaya talkin about shyguy01?
Also, his new digs from the "one more thing" keynote may signify the dawn of a new SJ... one that wears more than turtleneck and jeans. He is still keepin it low-key, but thank god... the whole turtleneck/jeans thing was getting pretty stale.

Looks like Risky Business/Top Gun era Tom Cruise, or maybe Ashton Kutcher... weird.
