Like Phish, hate DRM? Check this out
I'm not a
real Phish fan (though I will admit that "Bouncing Around the Room" is kind of catchy), but I certainly like
DRM-free video and music. Phish are offering live
concert videos that are both iPod and iTunes compatible via their website for $1.99 each. To kick things off, they're
handing out a free video from now until January 15th. All videos are encoded as MPEG-4. Thanks, Phish![Via Macbytes]

As DRM free as this media is, to download the free video (1995 NYE Concert) is a pain. You need an account on their website, you need to use their download manager, etc. The site is slow and cumbersome, but if you're a Phish fan, I suppose you won't mind too much. Atleast the download speeds were fairly quick (650kb/sec).

YES! YES! YES! am i the only one creaming my pants about this? NYE 95 what! amazing show. downloaded the freebee yesterday and it looks great. thanks phish! i hope more bands follow in their footsteps
the only complaint i have is that there is no option to purchase the entire show for a lesser price.
#1. doesnt every (paid) service require you to set up an account? and use their download manager?
