Chrysler announces iPod integration
Earlier this
week at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show, The Chrysler Group
announced that iPod integration will be made available in several of their vehicles in 2006. The optional $175US kit
will be availabe for most Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler models (more than 3 million vehicles in total) later this year. Like
other car kits we've seen, Chrysler's set up will allow you to control your iPod via the car's stereo or steering wheel
controls, with the stereo displaying the name of the song and artist. That thing got a hemi? Who cares? I want an iPod car kit.

$175? Thats quite a few duckets for something that could just be added with a line in to the exisiting stereo wired up through a dock cable from the line out of the ipod and just connect it on to a dedicated connection to charge it.
But what do I know, I don't buy new cars.

Nice, I can see it now in the Apple store. ;-)
Me:
"I'll take an iPod Nano please."
Sales Guy
"Can I talk you into a Hemi Charger w/ that?"
