TUAW trip to the Mothership

As we were sitting in the Moscone waiting for some news to happen Laurie turned to me and said, "What would you say if I suggested we take a road trip to Cupertino to hit the Apple Store there for some logo gear?"

I agreed and we were off to the wondrous world of 1 Infinite Loop. Next time I'm there it would be great if an Apple employee could show us around (hint, hint). The 'Company Store,' as it is called, is the only Apple store to sell Apple logo gear. Check out our pictures on Flickr.

Oh, I love Cupertino.. I went in August and looking at those pictures makes me really miss it.
Oh, California, how much I love you.

Hope y'all have fun at MWSF! I can only be there in spirit... but I just read that there will be a new apple store in Houston that will be opening in 2006 some time... A grand opening will be fun. :)

Not entirely true. There was a small employee-only store on their Elk-Grove, California campus. Don't know if it still exists or not, and it certainly wasn't as large as the one at 1IL, but it carried some of the same items :)
