Powerlogix Upgrade for 10.4.4 compatibility
If you run a Powerlogix proc in
your Mac then you probably are already aware that each OS upgrade means upgrading your CPU Director software. In case you were out of the loop or mesmerized
by the keynote you've been looping incessantly for the past few days, be sure todownload the upgrade. I've been having kernel panics even with 10.4.3 if I don't run CPU Director in the background. Has anyone else had similar issues?

The only problem for me when the CPU Director isn't running is that my 1.8 Ghz upgrade doesn't idle down to 900 Mhz - it always runs at 1.8 Ghz. This causes my Cube to run slightly hotter, but only be a couple of degrees.

This does not effect all Powerlogix G4 Upgrades... only those that reply on the CPU Director. For instance, the 7457 chips do not use the additional software.

I have a 7447A 2GHz so yeah, I guess I should leave my CPU Director on all the time.
