Widget Watch: SysStat nano
SysStat Nano is a great little system
monitoring widget (similar to MiniStat 2) that
gives you a quick, birds-eye view of various system statistics. Your processor, used memory, hard drive usage, IP and
(very handy) external IP, amongst other things, are all at the press of a key. While SysStat Nano offers an overview of various stats (pictured), it doesn't offer quite as much information as the aforementioned MiniStat 2. Either way, it's a darn handy widget, doesn't seem to hog too many cycles and, best of all, it's free.

Hi Guys,
Some of you have mentioned you like miniStat better....
Which features inparticular ?. We have just released SysStat nano 1.1 which has some new stuff but if you have any reqests just let us know and we will try and add them in
Thanks
Meh. I'd rather use Marcel Bresink's free Temperature Monitor (http://www.bresink.com/osx/TemperatureMonitor.html). He also makes a nice and cheap Hardware Monitor app (http://www.bresink.com/osx/HardwareMonitor.html). The great thing about widgets is that you hit F12 and they fly in OVER everything else. You don't have to go to your desktop. But I can see how you might like to have it always in the menu bar.
i'm with jason. menumeters would probably be the second thing i'd download on a fresh new machine (after firefox).

(1.67ghs 15 inch low def)
perhaps a faulty sensor?
I've been using Menu Meters for a while. Really configurable, I only show the cpu and network traffic, but it's free, has a lot of options. And it sits in the menu bar. I very rarly see my desktop, so widgets or whatever wouldn't get viewed very often.

SysStat nano does just fine. Now if only iPulse would come out with their own widget...
