At the
Macworld Expo earlier this month, Apple released its latest Jam Pack for Garageband, called "World Music." Apple notes that the collection
contains 3,000 loops and 40 virtual instruments, but don't you wonder precisely what is included in these packages? Don't worry about trying to comb through all of those loops and instruments yourself, for iCompositions has done it for you. Noting that the Jam Pack actually contains 3,235 Apple loops and 42 software instruments, they list them all, from the African Kalimba and the Irish Bouzouki to the Brazilian Sun Panderio and the Japanese Katana Flute. I'm just happy I'm not the one who had to compile this list.

Aha... Does anybody know if the the other Jam Packs (Rhythm Section, Remix Tools and Symphony Orchestra) are just repackaged versions of Jampack 2, 3 and 4?
Or did Apple also change the content.
What happened to Jam Pack 1?

Yep, they are indeed simply Jam Packs 2, 3, and 4 repackaged. Apple may have added a PDF file containing information on the instruments like they have in World Music but there's no way to tell without buying the new versions.
As for Jam Pack 1, they discontinued it because it didn't have a specific theme like the other four Jam Packs (or at least that's my guess).
