Rig of the Day: Do you have enough displays?

Sure, the G5 Power Mac on the floor is cool, as is the iPod and the Xbox 360. But check out the four image-spanning displays! Is that TUAW on the Cinema display, with my Munsters post front and center? Seriously, could you run Photoshop on this setup or what?

While I was in London over the new year we stopped by an Apple store (in the Bluewater mega-mall near the Dartford crossing) and they had a G5 running with a pair of the 30" cinema displays. I'd rather have that than this set of smaller monitors - it was an awesome amount of desktop real estate!

That said, if four smaller screens is all you've got, then why not - IMHO, two or more screens makes a huge difference in terms of efficiency. My 15" powerbook is OK for most things, but I do miss the extra space I have on my dual head Linux box in the office sometimes.

big deal. i didn't know that anyone who works at a post house can submit pics. i'll blow that set-up to pieces, but that wouldn't be fair.

and look at all the leg room - hmmmm ya think maybe he stuck as much crap as he could for the poser effect?

Makes my 17-inch PowerBook feel small.
