A NNW script to email a selected headline
I think I speak for a lot of NetNewsWire users when I say: thanks Robert Daeley!

To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

I just heard that the latest private alpha has added the mail complete webpage functionality.
Command to email complete web page -- works in Mail only. (Same as Safari)
Command to email link to page -- works in any mail client.

Hi,
nice one. But I prefer Feedmailer. Its a little applescript application that does the same thing. Additionally you can add the feed url...

why not just drag the headline onto the mail icon?
...mac style - no scripting needed ;)

#2: Some people, myself included, work a lot faster using keyboard shortcuts, especially with tools like Quicksilver and LaunchBar.
While I didn't know you could drag a headline down to Mail.app in the Dock, these methods also have slightly different outcomes. This script, for example, will fill in the subject field with the headline title. A DND (drag n drop) operation doesn't seem to.
But thanks for the tip, I never knew that. I bet most other NNW users don't either.

i'm a very keyboard oriented person either (...and a heavy user of launchbar).
i just thought it might be worth pointing out that this functionality was also already available via the OS.

All those methods are handy, but what I would really like is either a command in NNW or an AS that emails the contents of the page in the email (I think it's Saft, it might be built into the latest Safari build). So when I want to email the page contents, I use the Open in Browser (Safari) and then File>Mail Contents of this Page. So thanks Robert. Are you in the mood to do one that mails the contents?
I actually use NNW more than I use a browser, so for me (and probably a lot of other NNW diehards) this would be awesome. I guess I should learn Applescript:) And keep my mouth shut.

I work in tech support for NewsGator (who recently acquired Ranchero Software and NetNewsWire).
I've added a feature request to our database to add support for mailing the complete web page.
Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Hey Jack! Thanks Man. That feature will really be useful, because we're already using NNW to get the info that is really personally relevant, so naturally we will want to pass more of the pages we see in NNW than the pages we view in a browser.
