Nova
Media has released a plugin for iSync that adds syncing functionality for over 25 more phones from the likes of
Motorola, Siemens, Nokia and SonyEricsson. Phones such as the v3i, V3C,%uFFFD some in Nokia's N and E series, Siemens'
S series as well as SonyEricsson's W550i and W900i are all iSync tricks up this plugin's sleeve. Surprisingly, the plugin is a free download, but since I have a phone that already works with iSync as is, I don't have a way to test this out. Mac OS X 10.4.x and iSync 2.x are required. Would any TUAW readers who gave this a go like to sound off?

There is a hack to do this with several motorola phones already out there. I've done it with the v3c, but it was a bear to get it to work. Works great now, so I don't want to try this one and lose functioning. I have a verizon model, unrestricted use of bluetooth, etc. but some have speculated this was a glitch in the first batch. Anyone had luck with their verizon v3c?

I've owned a Nokia 9500 for the last 12 months and stopped using it because iSync did not support it.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.4 and iSync 2.1.1 and I just installed Nova Media's iSync kit and gave it a spin.
iSync now recognises the 9500 and syncs like a charm. It's downloaded all my contacts (including contact photos) and calendars.
I edited some contacts and they synced back to my Address book OK. I also added a new repeating calendar entry on the 9500 and it synced back OK too, although the calendar notes did not appear in iCal, a minor problem I can certainly live with considering.
This is an excellent piece of software that fills a glaring hole in the Apple syncing specturm.
Thanks Nova Media!

My installation took about 60-90 to complete and the installer didn't really give me much feedback, but eventually a Finder window popped up, showing me their plugin in /Library/PhonePlugins/novamedia.phoneplugin/

The timing on this article was perfect. I had just brought home a RAZR V3c and tried to sync it with Apple's iSync. Didn't work.
I then went online looking for a plug in and found one on Macupdate.com. It didn't work either.
I then tried this software, and it works perfectly.

Just installed the Isync plugin to work with mac OSX 10.4.5 and Verizon Motorola Razor V3c. No luck! When I try to add device to Isync, computer says can't communicate. Any ideas out there? Help would be greatly appreciated.
