Comedy Central bumps Lost for top spot in iTunes
Sorry, Lost.
Comedy Central's stand-up clips [link] are performing very well
in the iTunes Music Store. In fact, Dane Cook's episode currently has the top spot for videos. I've purchased Dane's
show, as well as Lewis Black's. They're fun to watch while you're bored to tears standing in line at the bank. A note to Comedy Central: Please add Ron White!

The problem with Comedy Central is their new online video offering "Motherload" (via their website) does not work with the Mac. A few months ago using Windows Media Player, Comedy Central's videos were accessible to Mac users, now it just doesn't work. If someone knows how to get this service on a Mac, I'd love to know.

Lost has been absolutely horrible. My girl got me into it, and season 1 started out slow enough... then it picked up near the end. THEN the first few episodes of season 2 were really great, lots of wild sci-fi mystery bits... then... "Sawyer gets a haircut."
Huh? Lost on an island, crazy eletromagnetic thingy behind a giant door, creepy video, old computer preventing like, the world from exploding, out of control nanotechnology, and SAWYER GETS A GODDAM HAIRCUT?! The last two eps have put me to sleep.

Mitch Hedberg and Dane Cook here, waiting for Brian Regan. Now how about daily show episodes? Not 1.99 for skits SNL style, but the full 20+ minute show for 1.99, just sayin' Comedy Central, just sayin'...

Comedy Central, what about Stephen Lynch? Also, as much as I love the Daily Show, I don't think I could see myself paying $1.99 per episode since there are four episodes per week.

What a "dog bits man" post. LOST fell because of the re-run this week.

Since Comedy Central's website "Mother Lode" is fiercely anti-Mac,
they need to add the shows to iTunes that EVERYONE wants...
1. The Daily Show
2. The Colbert Report
3. Chappelle's Show
Since TDS and TCR are both daily programs, they should add them as free podcasts, but leave the commercials in (I don't think anyone would mind).
And, by the way, "Drawn Together" is a horrible, horrible show.

I love how they keep on adding new shows. I wish they would add Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. They had huge followings and I think would sell great, not to mention Angel rocks!

I think Daily Show and Colbert Report are a great idea, but $1.99 for 22 minutes of show? That seems a bit steep for shows that are on 4 days a week. I'd say .99 per show would be more reasonable.
But, hey, I think free with commercials would be the most reasonable :)

Unfortunately, if Viacom's other networks (MTV and Nickelodeon, namely) are any indication, the reason that Comedy Central requires Windows in order to use MotherLoad is that it uses the Windows-only DRM extensions to the Windows Media format to prevent people from ripping the stream. Grr.

Randy Kagan -- now there is a comic I would like to see available. But maybe iTunes is still focusing just on the big names(?)

Oh, and here's a Mac-friendly backdoor to Comedy Central's videos that I found with some Googling; I can't get Flip4Mac to load the videos, but it works with Microsoft's now defunct but still distributed player:
