TidBITS reviews Yojimbo

I wrote about Yojimbo (and revealed my ignorance of Japanese phrases) when it first came out, but my post was far from a review. Matt Neuburg has taken Yojimbo for a spin, and overall he likes what he sees. He agrees that there is a very slight learning curve, and that Yojimbo provides a user with a number of ways.

However, all is not sunshine and unicorns. Yojimbo's simplicity is a two edged sword, since the application doesn't offer much to sway people from leaving their current workflows behind. Plus, it isn't AppleScriptable.

Definitely love it. There's a lot of other apps like it, but Yojimbo is damn fast and pretty to boot. I say it's definitely a keeper. =)

I downloaded yojimbo and have been using it to drag code i type in terminal during class and then annotate it with my notes.

i also have been storing serial #s , research bookmarks and other class notes in yojimbo. although i've used it slightly less recently, its been really helpful and is now auto started on all my macs

.mac synching is a deal breaker for me. i can have all my important notes, serials etc stored on all my computers.
