This past Saturday, Apple opened its newest retail store at the Garden State Plaza in
New Jersey. As usual, we asked any TUAW operatives who may have attended to share their reports and/or pictures. So,
did you go, and if you did, how was it? Let us know in the comments. Here's hoping you scored a T-shirt.Apple Store Garden State: Your reports

I got there just in time for opening. The Apple guy was saying how it
was the 7th store in NJ and first NJ store with a studio (still not
sure what exactly that is, looked like a place to help recent switchers
or something?). They had the Intel iMacs (i set TUAW as the homepage on
that one) there but no MacBooks sadly.
The line wrapped around
the 2nd floor and I got in about an hour and a half after it opened. I
must have been around the 1,000th person since they were on the last
box of shirts. The T-Shirts they gave out were in XL size only and came
in a white cardboard box. On the front it says "Garden State Plaza"
with a small apple logo and on the back it says "Designed by Apple in
California" in small letters. Here's a picture of the shirt: http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/5683/10035928tq.jpg

I got there at 10:00 when all the stores opened, saw the crazy long line, and came back at 11:30. Only waited about 20 minutes and managed to score a t-shirt too :-)
I don't know quite what the "Studio" is either; it was too crowded to try and figure it out. The staff was friendly too, considering the crush of onlookers.

I got there at 9:50 and waited on line for an hour till 10:50, and finally got in, and got the t-shirt (2 actually- 1 for me and 1 for my mom). I posted a little iWeb site with pix of the line and t-shirt:

I just went. It's a bit small. Weird layout in that the registers are in the way back. I asked what the studio was. They said that with Apple ProCare ($99/yr), they will give you 52 sessions of 1-to-1 training for anything related to design (iLife, Apple Pro Apps, even 3rd party). Those 1-to-1's are good regardless of which store you visit. Also, he said that the MacBooks are shipping (arriving?) February 10th.
