5 Quicksilver triggers from 43 Folders
I will not rest until every OS X user has downloaded and installed Quicksilver. Sadly, Quicksilver is a bit like a mule with a
spinning wheel; no one knows how he got it, and he doesn't know what to do with it.If you would like some real world examples of Quicksilver's trigger feature (remember the trigger tutorial we wrote about earlier) then 43 Folders has the post for you.

Scott, I'm sure that you will be delighted to know I have indeed both downloaded and installed (gasp!) it. Never actually double clicked on it though. Does one have to do that as well?
;-)
I used to use QS but now I can do the same thing w/ Spotlight and I don't have any extra apps.

"A unified, extensible interface for working with applications, contacts, music, and other data."
What? Huh?
What is Quicksilver and what is it good for?
Me no get.
I absolutely love quicksilver. The only problem I have with it is that almost none of it is documented.
It would be nice if somebody wrote up some docs on what you can do and what some of the commands are. The only things I've ever discovered that I can do with QS are from reading blogs where other people discuss what they have been doing with QS and how.
Ahem, "the monorail dude from the Simpsons"
The name's Lanley, Lyle Lanley.
He sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbrook and by-gum it put them on the map....

Quicksilver is more of a Shelbyville idea.

But when I tried contacting the company or getting on its forums, no luck. If a company is that screwed up that they keep their users from contacting them, I'd prefer to deal with another outfit, so it's back to launchbar for me.

Then tried it again when it was mentioned again. Still didn't get into it. I downloaded it for a 3rd time about a month ago when TUAW still wouldn't shut up about it, and now use it every day! I'll have to read through this guide now to truly grasp the app, since so far I just use its basic functions. Keep recomminding it, TUAW. Soon enough, everyone will discover it. ;)
