Apple Store Derby Street: Your reports

Earlier today, Apple opened its newest retail store in Hingham, Mass. As usual, we asked any TUAW operatives who may have attended to share their reports and/or pictures. So, did you make it out there this weekend (or has the snow currently falling in Massachusetts got you pinned)? Let us know in the comments.

Here's hoping you scored a T-shirt.

The long line despite the cold was surprising. I expected a crowd, but not so many diehards. The store was set up nicely, although it was more enjoyable after the crowd thinned a bit.

Yeah man, that was one mad ugly sign! What the hell could they have been thinking? It looks straight outta the local mom and pop's video store circa 1985...

Hey guys, we made it to the store and have posted a gallery on our site. It was pretty cold, and the line started about 9am. By about 9.20 people were starting to queue up pretty strong, and by 9.30, the line was around the front of the store, and starting to snake around the corner.

The staff came out, offered some 10% off coupons for triva questions, and generally prepped and warmed up the crowd. They did a 10 second countdown, and clapped and high fived people on their way in.

A good opening, with a good turnout, and yes, we scored some t-shirts!
