Front Row now remembers video position

Reg mentioned this in a comment, but I didn't have a chance to test it out until now, and by golly it works (though getting screenshots of Front Row is a bit bothersome).

As you can see above, I was watching a video (Channel Frederator) and then exited out of Front Row whilst it was still playing. Front Row automatically stops the playback, which isn't new, but now when you go back to the video you were watching you can either start from the beginning, or pick back up from where you were.

Another thing they added in the most recent update is that long song titles now scroll across the screen like they do on the iPod instead of just ending with "...".

That fast forward rewind is sorted, in iTunes too!

It's called scrubbing.

It's easy to take a screen shot of Front Row. Just use the TIMED function of SnapNDrag. Just set it to a longer time (like 20 seconds) so you'll have enough time getting that screen you want to cap.

It always did this for me (ever since I got my iMac last year). I only tried DVDs though.

Sorry, by Mar I mean "Nick"... "I'm sorry i've got a cold." (parott sketch)

ooh, and it should be 12" iBook 1GHz, right? That's 10.4.5 before you ask, and it went all 'funny' for me around 10.4.4 - but follow Escobar's a-b-c's and you'll be flying into "Movie Server is not available"-land in no time! woooo.

have you also noticed FrontRow now distinguishes unplayed podcasts/video podcasts with a little blue dot, a bit like iTunes.

Mar, you want to check out: andrewescobar.com/frontrow I'm running FrontRow on a 1Ghz iBook 12"... so bootifully.

How long till someone hacks/ makes a plug-in that will allow for DVR and other cool features THEY don't want us to have?

I am hinting that someone should make new hacks, unless they already exist...

BTW, I haven't been able to use FrontRow on my eMac for a while (maybe 10.4.4 or .5), and the hack is no longer available, are there any others that have not yet ceased and desisted.
