FlickrExport iPhoto plugin updated
This is one
of my must-have's. The FlickrExport iPhoto plugin has been updated to version 1.3.2. Once you've got this plugin
installed, you can upload photos to your Flickr account (either individually, or in batches) and set their tags,
description, size and more. Version 1.3.2 is mostly a bug fix, but it also extinguishes a problem that was tying up
batch uploads (I was experiencing this issue myself). Plus, it's now universal. [Via Daring Fireball]

yay! This IS a must-have if you use Flickr. Alex, go to the Share menu, and choose Export. There should be a Flickr tab, click on it, and enjoy...

I installed this app into iPhoto and to be honest, the program took a lot longer to upload a photo than using the main Flickr upload page.

What's so great about Flickr? Honestly I can't understand the attraction to Flickr.

Virtuous, over on Downloadsquad we did a simple survey of what photo service people preferred. Hands down it was Flickr. It's real power is similar to del.icio.us, in that it is a social photo sharing site. I have met several excellent local photogs via Flickr, and made even more connections around the globe as a result. If you are only sharing with family, or just take an occasional snapshot or two, maybe there's no value in it. Personally, I like being able to host my photos for free in various sizes, easily blog those images, and share them with friends... If none of those features (or tags, or the cool zeitgeist doohickey) turn you on, I guess it's not for you.
