Move your contacts to Gmail with A to G
A to G, which was once known as AddressBooktoCSV, is a
simple application that I am sure many of you will find useful. It simply exports your contacts in Address Book to a CSV file (that's comma separated values, the lingua franca of data porting) that is custom tailored for importing into your Gmail account.
That's it, but it is a Universal Binary and it is free.

Correct. I'm searching for an one-buttoned (or just simple) application/script to import csv once exported from thunderbird to gmail and vice versa. Because both treat CSV different...

"once known as AddressBooktoCVS"
Are you sure this isn't AddressBooktoCSV, as in CSV?

is there a way to export only certain fields from Addressbook as a .vcard file?
That is, select out the Birthday info, but leave all the remaining contact info.
thanks!

I'm also looking for a way to move from gmail to address book. Last night I opened Address Book and somehow all of my contacts have suddenly disappeared.

Wonderful tip. However, I can't find the app anywhere. Looks like it's been pulled down. VersionTracker doesn't list it (I searched for both atog and AddressBooktoCSV). MacUpdate lists it, but the Download Now button results in the same curious File not found! error your link leads to. The error is a page that looks like it was snapped from Apple's own site. Check it out:

Hmm, did the developer pull the plug? Or did someone ask them to? Smells fishy to me.

While A to G does indeed seem to be down, you can still find the original AddressBooktoCSV at
