DivX Player Beta 2 is available
DivX Player is a media player for the Mac, and Beta 2 features a slew
of changes, including:- A new decode-only DivX codec which is a Universal Binary
- The ability to drag-n-drop your movies onto the player icon (yay!)
- An option to dim the player
window along with the Desktop Dimmer (oooh...)
- New keyboard shortcuts
- Squashed bugs galore

anything to play mkv files correctly? some don't do well in VLC or mplayer...

I think it's great that people are willing to spent time making things like this, but I gotta ask - why?
There's already VLC and Mplayer for Mac. They both have more codecs than you can shake a stick at. And VLC is very stable.

The thing is, this will give you divx support in Quicktime player.
So you will be able to play all those downloaded divx files in Front Row.

I prefer NicePlayer.
It's a it's just a nice player.
