Ten reasons to love your Mac Book Pro
Being obsessed with Apple to the degree that I am cuts you off from reality. I think that everyone knows Apple's
product line as well as I do, and that if you have a choice of computer you will be getting a Mac.Sadly, that isn't always the case, so it was refreshing to see this post listing the top ten reasons that a recent switcher loves her Mac Book Pro.
It makes me think back to my first Mac, and the way it made using a computer fun again. Excuse me, I'm getting a little misty eyed.

Still too many bugs in MBP for me (returned one because of the whine, and new one still had the problem).
Give Apple another 2 revisions to get their act together.
Have had mine for 2 weeks. I love it! Don't think about buying one just do it! You will not regret it, ever!

No weird noises or hisses (but after I got it I immediately installed the firmware uptdate). Very quiet! Especially compared to my older TiBook 867 MHz, which hisses like a airco. It gets a little hot but again not as bad as the rumours would suggest and certainly not as hot as my TiBook..Got Windoze running...Games are smooth (I will only use Windoze for games)..no hickups thus far...BUY !!!!!

I travel a lot and that is a disappointment. I am also disappointed in the relatively short battery life. My G4 Ibook appears to have a longer battery life and I can use a Kensignton adapter with the G4.

does a car not get hot?
i have had my MBP 2Ghz core duo, 100Gb 7200rpm, 2GB RAM for 3 days now.
Compeered to my 17in power book 2002 modle is a dream cum true. mobliy is a must 4 me as i use my MBK at college and home for course work. my MBP allows me to do this with great speed so a bit of nosie n heat don't put me off at the slights.
sorry but ya mac haters are goin to have to do better then that to put me off. what would i use instead... a P.C lol i don't think so mate
After reading about your complaints, I would like to know if you do regret getting the MBP or not? Some talk about the whining sound or the LCD quality and it makes me wonder, if you had known about these problems earlier, would you have gone for the MBP? Yes/No? And why?
As you can tell I am seriously considering the MBP because of what I've heard and read about it! So is it all worth it or not at all?
After reading all the rumours and finally having them confirmed in February I have taken to steps and purchased my MBP last week. I have since found myself playing the lonely waiting game till it finally arrives. Found that I have sadly traced (almost hourly) each an every step of my MBP's journey from Shanghai! Apple told me that it would be here today (Friday 31st) but TNT have confirmed a delivery of Monday!
What this proves is that I have been very impressed with all the information ( which their has been lots) I have read about the MBP and even with some of the negative reviews I have never been so keen to get my hands on any other bit of kit as much as I currently do!
I never thought I would say this, but roll on Monday!
ehh Sasha, it shouldnt be too bad. I havent noticed it reoccuring, but it is annoying as hell...
March 24 2006 at 9:09 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWell, I don't yet have my macbook pro but I'm starting to panic that all that money I'm gonna be spending is going to amount to a computer that whines more than I do. I hope the whine isn't really that bad! And if so, can one return it to get one that doesn't whine? I got the higher end one, due to arrive in days.

What a warm welcome into the realm of Mac! I am truly flattered that you found something in my little post. I have been amazed at the wonderful comments I have received on our blog, and I cannot tell you how honored I am to be *ahem* sprinkled with some more Mac techno fairy dust ;)
With gratitude,
Ms. Baker
