Jean-Louis Gassée has a blog

I saw this a few days ago, but this John Gruber Linked List entry reminded me that Jean-Louis Gassée is blogging now.

In the olden times Jean-Louis was head of Apple France and then became the head of Macintosh development before being forced out by, then, Apple CEO John 'I like sugar water just fine' Sculley. Gassée went on to found Be, which developed an OS that was far ahead of its time, and sadly not that popular.

Check out his blog, I am sure it is well worth the read but it is in French so I have no idea what any of it says. Stupid American educational system.

"Stupid American educational system."

It may only have been said tongue-in-cheek, but wiser words have not been written on this blog, for sure.

It seems that some people skipped the 'Humor' class at their high schools.

I had to laugh when I read the comment about the "Stupid American Educational System." It's nearly impossible to get kids to take English these days.

Here's a thought, if you wanted to learn French, why didn't you take the class? Of course, in America today it is easier to blame someone else for our shortcomings. Sheesh.

I do know some Spanish, but I was never good at it. Makes sense since I am not very good with the English either.

Putting the site through the Google translator yields some insights:

-----
The receipt : Take a computer, add a layer of operating system, then a layer of Firefox, the free butinor. You now have sesame for the Google universe, all your applications turn on the combination of the gigantic waiters of the house and Firefox.

Constip頷aiter? It is not rare and I hope well to finance an Indian contractor who presents tempting technical ideas for the diagnosis and the acceleration of the transit of the applications.

(I assume "waiter" should be "server.")
