Cool Regent Street Apple Store animation

As someone who has only visited the CambridgeSide Apple Store in Cambridge, Mass. (one of the earlier stores, and a modest one), I haven't seen the spectacular flagship stores in New York City and London. That's why I found this animation so entertaining. It's a nice representation of the Regent Street store that's annotated with the various features of that location. Click on one of those features, like the theater for example, and see a photo.

Ah, you lucky Londoners. Enjoy your gorgeous store. Incidentally, the upcoming Arndale Centre - Manchester store is still looking for employees. Good luck!

I was in the Regent Street store today (29.04.06) and needed to return an iPod mini (10 months old) with a dead HD. The Genius bar is now appointment only and the 'couldnt care less' girl on the desk taking bookings was unhelpful boardering on rude. YOUR STAFF ARE THE FACE OF THE COMPANY APPLE. THE REGENT STREET STORE HAS SOME BAD STAFF IN IT AND IS SLIDING DOWNWARDS RAPIDLY. I am a big Apple fan having just over 16 years of mac use and evangilisation under my belt - I have encouraged tens of thousands of pounds worth of sales over the years and it depresses me to see such a great store go from hero to zero in 12 months. PLEASE SOMEONE FORWARD THIS TO John OGrady.

That's a real shame Joel. Your Father needs to weigh up Dixons/PC World/Comet et al with the Apple Store and hopefully he'll see sense.

I visited the Apple Store on Regent's Street onTuesday and I have to say that I was disappointed. As already mentioned the computers were full with people using msn or checking their email, the store and computers were dirty (especially keyboards) and they were setting up for a concert which meant intensly annoying and very loud sound checks over the sond system.

Granted this was just before they closed so that is probably the reason behind it but it didnt impress me and my dad's now even more unlikely to get a new mac :(

Ive been to the apple store in Chicago and it looks very similar to this as well, the glass staircase is amazing in real life.

It's a pity that the demo Macs usually monopolised with backpackers checking their hotmail accounts, the theatre is full of PC-notebook-toting businessmen taking advantage of the free wifi and power sockets between meetings and it's impossible to get near the Genius Bar for stupid people with iPods.

It does look fabulous... but the service isn't as good as in other flagships

Where's the animation? All I can find is the illustration that you linked to!

This is a very similar layout as the San Francisco store as well.

it looks almost exactly like the new york apple store. glass staircase and all. it's a well laid out consumer experience, that's for sure. makes me want to buy one of everything when i'm there. but then, maybe that's because i'm such an apple whore.

Very cool, thanks! It does look basically like every other Apple store I've been in, which is a good thing.

But is there actually any "animation" in this? I get nice informative text boxes when I mouse over stuff, but nothing moves. I've tried a couple browsers with the same result.
