Life in Cupertino
News.com, never one to shy away from the tough tech stories, took a reporter and camera crew to Cupertino and spoke
with residents about what life is like living with Apple HQ in their backyards. The video reveals such shocking details as:- When Apple employees go to the Outback Steakhouse they eat steak and drink beer (though not an excessive amount)
- You can tell an Apple employee by their Apple badge

Take it from a lady who seems to have been there for quite some time, Apple killed all of the prune trees.

That was deplorable ... no, that was garbage ... no, that was downright stalkish. "What do they usually eat?" ... OMG, how weird is that. Next she'll be asking how often they go to the toilet (or did she ask that, I turned it off right after that).

Cupertino has a killer coffee shop "Bare Foot Coffee Roasters" that puts Starbucks to shame. That alone is enough to make me consider working there. I wonder if that coffee is what drives Apple developers? And no I didn't bother to watch the video based on the comments here.

Wow...yeah...this piece...I have to agree with 1, 2 & 4. That was just trash. That's WORSE than videos I've seen in my Broadcasting Classes. And let me tell you...that's saying something.

Good God, this is depressingly boring. I have it playing in a background tab and I am waiting to hear *something* that sounds like a spark of life. I'd have more sympathy if it was a student's first awkward attempt, but this is "CNET News.com's Amanda Termen," who is presumably a professional.

Cnet's attempt with "tongue-in-cheek" video humor was really boring but I suppose that's expected seeing that all their video features are sponsored by Microsoft.

The middle-aged lady at the end of the video was actually more informed and easier to listen to than the "reporter" - ha.

That was a terrible terrible video. Why not visit a site that truely pays homage to what it was like to get an Apple II for the first time. I suggest this TG Daily article, it's great.

OMG, I hate to live in Europe, all the quality tv programming is obviously coming from the US of A. That news clip was awesome.
Damn European reporters, they should watch and learn, I'd like to see that kind of an insight sometimes here too.

I've eaten at that Outback... first one I ever went to, about 11 years ago. It was a religious experience as a Performa owner :P
