After installed this firmware update I get after every start up of my Intel iMac a message: "your firmware has been updated". Do more people have this problem? How do I get rid of this message?
Am I the only one whose Macbook doesn't fry his lap anymore after this update? The extreme heat generated by my macbook has virtually disappeared, and I can now place the system on my lap without fear of jeopardizing my chances of being a father.

That's why I took my precautions by downloading and burning Apple's Firmware Restoration CD first. As I expected from Apple, the update went flawless on my Mac mini. I didn't notice any differences though.

My macbook keeps making the drive eject over and over in sleep mode. I hope this fixes it.

April 19 2006 at 3:14 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOne thing I noticed is that on my MacBookPro, the Windows installation always took boot order priority over the OS X installation. After this firmware update OS X seems to have been made default.
