For me my Intel Mac Mini was quite slow at going into sleep mode after applying the other firmware update to get Boot Camp running - now after applying today's update it's extremely quick at entering and exiting sleep mode. Whilst that's obviously not going to be the only thing fixed or added it was the most important thing to change for me and they've done it.
Cheers Apple :)

My MacBook Pro used to try and eject a disc when I accidently hit the eject key, even when the drive was empty. It doesn't do that anymore.

JWar, your right, mine did that too. But now it only does it the first time and not after that. No more annoying eject noise from my fat fingers.

Did anyone notice that the Bluetooth icon has shifted it position to next to the spotlight icon on the menu bar?

#6: This has nothing whatsoever to do with the Firmware Update. At all.

My Bluetooth Icon stayed in the same place, between the iChat and Airport icons.

Firmware updates make me nervous, I once lost a computer to a botched firmware update (thank god it wasn't a Mac). I'd like some more details on what this does before I update.

One thing I noticed is that on my MacBookPro, the Windows installation always took boot order priority over the OS X installation. After this firmware update OS X seems to have been made default.

My macbook keeps making the drive eject over and over in sleep mode. I hope this fixes it.

I'm not fond of firmware updates either, #10. That's why I took my precautions by downloading and burning Apple's Firmware Restoration CD first. As I expected from Apple, the update went flawless on my Mac mini. I didn't notice any differences though.
(You can find the 'Firmware Restoration CD' on the support.apple.com site using the searchfield)
