Rig of the Day: Powerbooks

Today's Rig shot features three vintage PowerBooks: A PowerBook Duo 2300c, a PowerBook G3 (bronze keyboard) and a PowerBook 3400c, all up and running. I've got a 3400c myself that I intend to turn into a picture frame some day (because I have so much free time). I was once given a Powerbook 150 for helping a friend paint a fence, which I used at my desk for Excel and Word back when I was a teacher.

For the month of April, the theme for our Rig of the Day will be "Vintage Macs" in honor of Apple's anniversary. If you'd like to see your own rig featured here, simply upload photos into our group Flickr pool. Let's see your vintage Macs (Apples and Newtons, too)! We'll select an image every day to highlight.

I know IBM holds the patent for a track point but why isn't Apple using it? I mean not to insult the touch pad, but has anyone here actually used a ThinkPad with that little red dot in the middle? Its amazing!
Its all personal preference in the end. Apple used to dominate when it came to battery life, but they need to work on that now.
Vintage hardware is always fun to look at, emphasis on look at, Im still using a ThinkPad with a Pentium II!
